FIRST LOOK IMAGES RELEASED FOR THE BRAND NEW STAN ORIGINAL SERIES 'TEN POUND POMS'

Led by the internationally recognised Michelle Keegan and from the team behind the award-winning Sex Education, the Stan Original Series. Ten Pound Poms will premiere later this year, only on Stan. 

March 28 2023 – Stan, Australia’s unrivalled home of original productions, today released the first look images for the brand new Stan Original Series Ten Pound Poms. Created by BAFTA-winning Danny Brocklehurst and from the team behind the award-winning series Sex Education, Ten Pound Poms is a co-production between BBC and Stan and will premiere on Stan later this year. 

Written by Danny Brocklehurst (Brassic, Ordinary Lies) and produced by Eleven (Sex Education, Red Rose) first-look images have today been released of Michelle Keegan (Our Girl, Brassic) as Kate, Faye Marsay (Game Of Thrones, Black Mirror) as Annie and Warren Brown as Terry (The Responder, Luther) in the upcoming Stan Original Series Ten Pound Poms. Images have also been released of Hattie Hook as Pattie, Finn Treacy as Peter, David Field as Dean, Sophie Gregg as Tina, Cheree Cassidy as Marlene and Rob Collins as Ron.

Based on true events in Australia’s history, Ten Pound Poms is a six-part series that follows a group of Brits as they leave dreary post-war Britain in 1956 to embark on a life-altering adventure on the other side of the world. For only a tenner, they have been promised a better house, better job prospects and a better quality of life by the sea in sun-soaked Australia. But life down under isn’t exactly the idyllic dream the new arrivals have been promised. Struggling with their new identity as immigrants, we follow their triumphs and pitfalls as they adapt to a new life in a new country far from Britain and familiarity.

The ensemble includes Faye Marsay (Game of Thrones, Black Mirror) and Warren Brown (The Responder, Luther), alongside Australian actors Rob Collins (Mystery Road, Firebite), Leon Ford (Elvis, The Light Between Oceans), Declan Coyle (Long Black, Life of Jess), David Field (Shantaram, Preacher), Stephen Curry (Hounds of Love, The Castle), Hattie Hook (Savage River, Of An Age), Finn Treacy (The Stan Original Film,The Portable Door, Young Rock) and Emma Hamilton (The Tudors, Mr Selfridge). Ten Pound Poms is directed by Jamie Stone and Australia’s Ana Kokkinos (Fires, The Hunting).

The Stan Original Series Ten Pound Poms premieres later this year, only on Stan.
