18 December, 2024Stan Sport today announced the biggest Summer of Tennis to-date, with six major tennis tournaments and events building to the highlight of the summer, Australian Open 2025. Every match of AO will be ad-free, live and on demand with centre court in stunning 4K UHD, and featuring exclusive minis and highlights of every match on the Home of Grand Slam Tennis, Stan Sport.

Beginning January 12, the undisputed headline act of Australian Open 2025 will be the return of Aussie superstar Nick Kyrgios who will make his long-awaited return to the tournament after a long injury layoff.

Generating breathtaking must-see moments whenever he hits the court, Kyrgios will look to take the fight to the best in the world, including defending champion Jannik Sinner [1], entertainment machine Carlos Alcaraz [3] and long-time rival Novak Djokovic [7], who will be gunning for an astonishing 11th AO title.

Dark horse Alex de Minaur [9] will also continue his sublime run of form as he strives to claim his first ever Grand Slam at home in Australia.

In the women's draw, top seeds Aryna Sabalenka [1] and Iga Świątek [2] will resume their back-and-forth battle over the world no.1 seeding, with the surging Coco Gauff and3] and Jasmine Paolini [4] hot on their heels. The Aussie contingent will consist of Olivia Gadecki [97], Daria Saville [108] and Ajla Tomljanovic [109], alongside breakout teenager Maya Joint [116], competing in her first ever AO main draw.

For all the Australian Open headlines, talking points and highlights, Grand Slam Daily returns for all Stan and Stan Sport subscribers, hosted by Chris Stubbs and joined by guests including expert analyst Mark Petchey and celebrated player Daniela Hantuchová. Streaming live every day from Melbourne Park at 7:00am AEDT and exclusively on Stan, the show will feature some of the biggest names in the world of tennis, getting their unmatched perspective on all the action that unfolds.

Stan Sport’s Summer of Tennis begins tomorrow night with the exclusive rights to the World Tennis League (December 19 - 23), with its star-studded season taking place over four days in Abu Dhabi. The unique team-based format brings together sixteen of the biggest names in tennis, drafted into the various squads to take each other on in a competition unlike any other on the tennis calendar.

Stars included in the series include the likes of women's world no.1 Aryna Sabalenka, Daniil Medvedev [5], Iga Świątek [2], Andrey Rublev [8] and Elena Rybakina [6], but all eyes will be on the returning Nick Kyrgios as he gets his first taste of tennis action in 18 months.

The action then heads Down Under, with the United Cup hosted out of Sydney and Perth (December 27 - January 5), which sees 16 of the top tennis nations going head-to-head. Packed with stars like USA's Coco Gauff [3] and Taylor Fritz [4], Poland's Iga Świątek [2] and Hubert Hurkacz [16] and Australia's Alex de Minaur [9] and Olivia Gadecki [97], national pride will be on the line with the green and gold on full display.

The action then shifts to the Brisbane International (December 29 - January 5), with Kyrgios again stealing the spotlight as he teams up with longtime rival Novak Djokovic in the men's doubles draw, where anything will be possible.

Top tier tennis continues around the country, as the Adelaide International commences on January 6, and exclusive coverage of the Hobart International from January 8, forming the final tournament warm-ups ahead of the big dance.

And just ahead of the AO, Red Bull Bassline (January 7) will thrill Melbourne with it's innovative one night only, tie-break tennis event, all set against a bass-bumping DJ soundtrack. The bigger twist is that there will be no umpire, with the players themselves deciding who won the points, and 15-time quad Grand Slam champion Dylan Alcott acting as MC for the evening - stepping in to help decide some calls when necessary.

The Australian Open will kick off another huge year of Grand Slam Tennis on Stan Sport, the only place to watch every match from the AO, Roland-Garros, Wimbledon and the US Open.

Watch the Australian Open live & free on the 9Network & 9Now. Stan Sport is the only place to watch every match ad-free, live & on demand with centre court in 4K.
