DOUBLE GOLD ON THE VELODROME
- Australia added two Gold medals to the tally in Paris, with all three Day 2 medals coming in track cycling.
- Jess Gallagher added more silverware to her Summer and Winter Olympic haul.
- Madi de Rozario into the Women's 5000m T54 5000m Final.
- The Steelers and Rollers played their second pool matches.

AUSSIES IN ACTION - DAY 2
Para Cycling
- After setting a Paralympic Record in qualifying for the Men's C4-5 1000m Time Trial, Korey Boddington improved on his World Championships Silver to strike Gold in the final, winning by over a tenth of a second. (vision here)
- Emily Petricola took over two seconds off the Women's C4 3000m Individual Pursuit World Record she set en route to Gold in Tokyo to qualify for the Gold Medal Race, then lapped Kiwi Anna Taylor to ensure she has won the event at every major competition since 2019. (vision here)
- Jess Gallagher and pilot Caitlin Ward qualified second in the Women's B 1000m Time Trial and held that form to take the Silver medal. It is her second Paralympic cycling medal, adding to the to Winter Paralympic medals she won in Vancouver and Sochi. (vision here)
Para Swimming
- Keira Stephens fell just short of repeating her Women's SB9 100m Breaststroke Bronze from Tokyo, finishing in fourth place.
- Tim Hodge continues to chase an elusive Paralympic Gold after placing fifth in the Men's SB8 100m Breaststroke. He is the World Record holder in the 200m Individual Medley which comes up later in the meet.
- Australia squeezed into the Mixed 4x50m Freestyle Relay (20 Points) final for the first time since Rio, but were unfortunately disqualified.
Para Athletics
- Madi de Rozario continues her quest for her first medal in the Women's T54 5000m, safely through the final after finishing second in her heat.
- Unfortunately Samuel Rizzo couldn't repeat the effort in the Men's event, finishing an agonising 0.4s outside the final qualifiers.
Wheelchair Basketball
- The Rollers are still chasing the first win of their campaign, suffering an eight-point loss to Spain
Wheelchair Rugby
- After losing Riley Batt to the sin bin and surrendering the lead mid-match, the Steelers scored their first win in Paris with a 55-53 win over the home nation. (vision here)
Para Rowing
- The Mixed PR3 Double Sculls team of Nikki Ayers and Jed Altschwager set a new Paralympic Best time on their way to nearly a 13 second win in the heats to receive direct passage to the finals.
- Erik Horrie (Men's PR1 Single Sculls) and the Mixed PR3 Coxed Fours will need to go through the Repechage after missing qualification for the final in their heats.
INTERNATIONAL HIGHLIGHTS - DAY 2
Para Athletics
- Brazilian Júlio Cesar Agripino, obliterated the T11 5000m World Record to take the first Athletics Gold in Paris. All three medalists went under the previous World Record set at Agripino's countryman Yeltsin Jacques who finished third.
- Tunisia's Raoua Tlili won her fifth-straight Paralympic Gold in the Women's F41 Shot Put, her seventh-career Paralympic victory.
Para Swimming
- China won the Mixed 4x50m Freestyle Relay (20 points) in World Record Time, anchored by armless swimmer, Guo Jincheng. Guo swam the entire lap without taking a breath, headbutting the touch pad to claim the win. (vision here)
Sitting Volleyball
- 246cm Morteza Mehrzadselakjani helped Iran open their Gold Medal defence with a 3-0 win over Ukraine in the Men’s preliminary round. Iran’s men’s side are aiming for a hat-trick of Gold medals following victories at Rio 2016 and Tokyo 2020.
