AUSSIES IN ACTION - DAY 3
Para Cycling
- Amanda Reid succesfully defended her Women's C1-3 500m Time Trial Gold medal, winning by nearly a second. The World Record holder was easily the fastest rider in qualifying and backed it up in the final.
- Gordon Allan qualified for the final of the Men's C1-3 1000m Time Trial, finishing fifth overall.
Table Tennis
- Li Na Lei and Qian Yang took down Brazil 3-0 in the WD20 Semi-Finals before defeating Chinese Taipei 3-1 in the Gold medal decider, creating their own slice of Paralympic history. The duo both won individual Gold in Tokyo and paired up to do the same in Paris.
Para Swimming
- Jack Ireland scored Australia's fifth swimming medal of the Games, taking Bronze in the Men's S14 200m Freestyle and setting a new Oceania Record.
Para Athletics
- Michael Roeger set the pace in the Men's T46 1500m Final but had to settle for Silver after being overhauled in the final stages.
- After finishing fourth and fifth in the Women's T54 5000m at the last two Paralympics, Madi de Rozario finally scored her first medal in the event, outlasting two Swiss opponents down the final straight for Bronze.
- Jaryd Clifford was denied Bronze in the Men's T13 5000m after dropping the tether to his guide in the dying stages.
- Rhiannon Clarke set an Australian Record in the Women's T38 100m Final to finish fourth. Ella Hose also scored a fourth place finish in the Women's F37 Shot Put Final after setting a personal best.
- Mali Lovell is into the final of the Women's T36 200m after setting the third-fastest time in her heat.
Wheelchair Rugby
- The Steelers overcame a slow start to the tournament to qualify for the semi-finals following a 53-49 win over Denmark. Riley Batt scored 41 of Australia's tries.
Para Rowing
- Erik Horrie (Men's PR1 Single Sculls) and the Mixed PR3 Coxed Fours have qualified for their finals after winning their Repechage races.
INTERNATIONAL HIGHLIGHTS - DAY 3
Para Swimming
- Stephen Clegg set a new World Record to take Gold for Team GB in the Men's S12 100m Backstroke.
- Neutral Paralympic Athlete Ihar Boki won his third Gold medal in as many days, taking out the Men's S13 400m Freestyle. He now has 18 Golds in his career, with only four other athletes winning more in the history of the Paralympic Games.
Para Athletics
- Netherlands' Fleur Jong beat her own Paralympic Record to clinch Gold in the Women's T64 Long Jump Final. Jong leapt to 6.53m with compatriot Marlene van Gansewinkle taking the Silver with a personal best of 5.87m and USA's Beatriz Hatz third with 5.38m.
Para Archery
- China’s Chen Minyi became the first Para Archery Gold medallist at Paris 2024 after beating Pultar Musilova Sarka (CZE) in the Women’s W1 Gold Medal match. Chen, who won two Gold medals at Tokyo 2020, took the lead after the first end and never gave it up.
