August 23, 2024 - The 2024 US Open sees its first serve on Tuesday morning from 1:00am AEST on Stan Sport, marking the start of 14 straight days of exhilarating tennis action. Stan Sport will be the only place to watch every match ad-free, live and on demand, with centre court in stunning 4K.
Following a drought-breaking Gold medal win at the 2024 Paris Olympics, four-time champion Novak Djokovic [2] returns to Flushing Meadows to defend his 2023 US Open title. Djokovic and Carlos Alcaraz [3] have been neck-and-neck throughout the 2024 season, with Alcaraz triumphing at Wimbledon, while Djokovic claimed victory in the Olympic Gold Medal rematch - as world no.1 Jannik Sinner looms for both.
For the first time in more than 42 years, there are ten Australian men ranked inside the world’s top 100 in the ATP Tour singles rankings. Alex de Minaur [10] returns from injury and will look to recapture the form that took him to back-to-back Quarter Finals at Roland-Garros and Wimbledon, while Alexei Popyrin [28] also enters in career best form having won his first Masters 1000 title just two weeks ago to shoot him up the rankings.
In the women's draw, surging Italian Jasmine Paolini [5] has injected some fresh excitement into the season, as Polish no.1 Iga Świątek looks to fend off challenges from Aryna Sabalenka [2], Coco Gauff [3] and Elena Rybakina [4].
