AUGUST 9, 2024 -

Under the guidance of new coach Joe Schmidt, the Wallabies will attempt to remain undefeated for 2024 in front of a sold out Suncorp Stadium, the first capacity crowd in Brisbane since 2013.

West Australian junior Carlo Tizzano will make his debut for the Wallabies at openside flanker with Allan Alaalatoa continuing as captain and Jake Gordon and Noah Lolesio set to return in the halves.

The South African side arrives in Australia having recently drawn 1-1 in a fiercely contested series at home against world No. 2 Ireland in July. The visitors have named a powerful pack led by iconic captain Siya Kolisi stacked with World Cup winners, a six-two bench split and over 500 caps in the forwards.

Coverage of Wallabies v South Africa will commence 2pm AEST Saturday, August 10 ad-free, live and in 4K on Stan Sport and live on 9GO. Host Nick McArdle will be joined by experts Michael Hooper, Tim Horan, Sonny Bill Williams, Morgan Turinui, Justin Harrison and Allana Ferguson with Sean Maloney in commentary.

After what is set to be a stellar battle in the first test in Brisbane, both teams will travel to Perth for Round 2 action.

Across the ditch, All Blacks coach Scott Robertson has named a strong squad to face Argentina in Wellington with No. 8 Ardie Savea to captain a side that features the return of halfback TJ Perenara and outside back Will Jordan from injury.

Coverage of the All Blacks v Argentina will commence at 4pm AEST Saturday, August 10 live and exclusive on Stan Sport.

The 2024 Bledisloe Cup series between the Wallabies and All Blacks is set to be played across two Tests in September as part of The Rugby Championship on September 21 (Sydney) and September 29 (Wellington). The Wallabies have not won the series since 2002 and are on a seven-Test losing streak to their trans-Tasman dating back to November 2020.

The Rugby Championship kicks off a massive month on Stan Sport following the conclusion of the Olympics on Monday morning, with the UEFA Super Cup (August 15), the final Grand Slam of the year with the US Open (August 27 - September 9) and Paralympic Games (August 28 - September 8).
