October 29, 2024 - Stan today released the new key art and trailer for the brand new sci-fi drama series Earth Abides starring Alexander Ludwig (Vikings, The Covenant) and Jessica Frances Dukes (Ozark) premiering December 2, same day as the U.S. and only on Stan.

From showrunner Todd Komarnicki (Sully), the series is based on George R. Stewart’s classic sci-fi novel of the same name. When a plague of unprecedented virulence sweeps the globe, the human race is all but wiped out. In the aftermath, as the great machine of civilisation slowly and inexorably breaks down, only a few shattered survivors remain to struggle against the slide into extinction.

Todd Komarnicki, Showrunner, Writer and Executive Producer said: "It has been an absolute thrill to adapt George Stewart’s sci-fi classic. And an even greater honor to deliver a show that is custom built for our moment in history. Earth Abides features Alexander Ludwig, Jessica Frances Dukes, Aaron Tveit, Rodrigo Fernandez-Stoll, Elyse Levesque, Luisa D’Oliveira, Birkett Turton, Hilary McCormack and Jenna Berman. The series is written by Todd Komarnicki and directed by Bronwen Hughes (101, 102), Rachel Leiterman (103, 104) and Stephen Campanelli (105, 106) and executive produced by Todd Komarnicki, Kearie Peak, Michael Phillips, and Juliana Maio.

The brand new series Earth Abides will premiere December 2, same day as the U.S. and only on Stan.
